AMR Recognized for Safety Achievements

On May 9, 2013, Advantage Metals Recycling (AMR), Kansas and Missouri’s largest scrap metal recycler, was recognized by the Safety Council of the Ozarks with two prestigious awards:

Les Reynolds Commitment to Excellence Award. Established to honor Les Reynolds, founder of the Safety Council of the Ozarks, this award is the highest regional award presented by the Safety Council of the Ozarks and was presented to AMR-Topeka.  This award recognizes AMR’s Topeka recycling facility as the company with the largest percent difference between their industry average and their internal record.

Ozarks Regional Safety Award. This award is presented to those companies that strive to provide a culture of safety at their workplace, with safety practices and accident rates which are better than the industry average.  Eight AMR scrap metal recycling facilities earned this prestigious 2013 Ozarks Safety Excellence Award:  Emporia and the Cheyenne and Transportation locations in Kansas City, Kansas and Clarence, Clinton, Columbia, Holts Summit, and Linn Creek, Missouri.

“Achieving these awards is truly an honor,” stated Raynard Brown, AMR’s President.  “We could not have achieved these safety awards without the effort and commitment to safety that our staff displays every day.  Safety is our core value at Advantage Metals Recycling and the entire team is firmly united behind our goal of zero accidents.”

AMR buys common household ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal items like automobiles, appliances, sheet metal, aluminum cans and other aluminum, copper and brass products. State-of-the-art technology is utilized to allow customers to quickly and efficiently sell their scrap metal and receive payment on site.
